Nightmares and night terrors are two different things, though both can be distressing for little ones and their parents alike.


Night terrors are a fairly common childhood sleep disorder that is characterized by extreme terror while sleeping and the inability to fully wake up. While your child may be screaming, crying and desperately trying to escape something, with eyes wide open, he or she is in fact still in a state of sleep.


Vision is a dominant process in growth, development and daily performance of children. Undetected, untreated vision problems can interfere with students’ learning potential. Nearly 75% of the school day is spent on visual activities. Vision deficiencies in school age children are often misidentified as behavior or social problems, which my put the child into the wrong “treatment track”.

As parents many of us do not know that many of our children's health problems are due to their food habits and the cure lies within the framework of recognizing these deficiencies and then treating them. Take few minutes to go through the questions below:

Children are naturally curious and tend to explore their surroundings, often putting things into their mouth. However, if the child is constantly eating mud or other non-food items like dirt, paint chips, plaster, chalk, corn starch, ash, rust, soap, sand paper etc, then the child is suffering from an eating disorder called as "Pica".

All children start life being incontinent of urine both by day and night and, as neurological maturation occurs, voluntary control of the bladder is gained first by day and then by night. Very few never gain control of the bladder unless there is obvious neurological disease.....

A child with the ability to communicate effectively with words, gestures and body language will not only be able to express feelings, problems and needs, but also have the self-esteem to develop and maintain relationships at home and at school. Give children the knowledge and techniques to improve communication skills so they can convey clear messages and listen effectively to hold productive conversations with adults and peers.

Congenital or acquired hearing loss in infants and children has been linked with lifelong deficits in speech and language acquisition, poor academic performance, personal-social maladjustment and emotional difficulties. Identification of hearing loss through neonatal hearing screening, regular surveillance of developmental milestones, auditory skills....

Fine motor skills require the movement of small muscles, usually in coordination with the eyes. They include activities related to hand-eye and foot-eye coordination, the ability of the eyes to focus on an object and the adroitness to manipulate fingers to write properly and neatly. Fine motor skills generally start developing in infancy.....
